Ad.ly – Celebrity Endorsements in Social Media

Ad.lyThe folks at Adly help brands connect with targeted consumers through influential celebrities, sports players and other well known people on Twitter with their services offered on the ad.ly website. They use a proprietary influencer marketing platform to allow advertisers to start conversations with targeted potential customers – the people they need to reach the most. Ad.ly currently has over 1,000 influencers working with them to promote products, services, and brands to their followers via Twitter. Adly is based in Beverly Hills and they have already raised more than $6 million in venture capital from angel investors, Greycroft Partners and GRP Partners.

Social media marketing can be a confusing arena for many brands to navigate. As Arnie Gullov-Singh, CEO of Adly says, “With celebrity endorsements, you CAN get your arms around social media. And you can do it in a way that’s simple, that’s effective, that’s scalable, and that’s measurable.” Ad.ly helps companies pair up with the celebrities and social media icons who are going to be able to best get their message across to an audience (often of hundreds of thousands or even millions of Twitter followers) in an authentic, dynamic way.

Some of the top influencers on Ad.ly include Chris Brown, 50Cent, Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson, and Avril Lavigne. Combined, these seven people have more than 27 million followers and Adly offers over a thousand Twitter influencers. Visitors to the Ad.ly website may search for celebrities by name, topic, or even location. Influencers who would like to monetize their digital presence may contact Adly through the website in order to discuss endorsing brands they likely already love and use themselves. Ad.ly also provides a portal for advertisers to contact the company’s media sales department. Ad.ly
