AC4H.com – Horse Rescue Rehabilitation and Placement
Another Chance 4 Horses, Inc is a nonprofit 501c(3) rescue, rehabilitation and placement corporation based in Pennsylvania and AC4H.com is their website. They have been helping horses for more than 10 years and AC4H has an international network. The first five years of their existence were entirely self-funded. The mission of AC4H is to give all breeds of horses another chance through volunteer work and donations. They rescue horses from slaughter for human consumption, abuse, neglect, cruelty, and owner surrender.
Once horses are rescued by the people at AC4H.com, the horses are initially placed into quarantine to ensure that if they happen to be ill they do no infect the rest of the horse population at AC4H. Horses are then, (and sometimes simultaneously) rehabilitated and treated for any medical issues they may have. The horses are evaluated by the AC4H staff and trained if needed. AC4H then seeks caring homes for them.
In order to help prevent and minimize horse cruelty, abuse, neglect and other inhumane treatments, the staff at AC4H.com also seeks to educate the public and to encourage community involvement in the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of horses.
For visitors to AC4H.com who would like to adopt one of their rescued horses or who would like to donate to help pay for the expenses of this nonprofit can click on the “Available horses” link provided on the homepage. From there, they will be taken to a page detailing all of the horses which are currently available for adoption – including photos and details about each horse as well as the adoption prices. Donations to AC4H are tax deductible and can help save the lives of horses.
