If you have an idea for a web or mobile app or startup, you’re in luck.

#GetStarted2014 is a worldwide startup competition to find the best web or mobile app idea and make it real. The winner will receive $70,000 worth of development, marketing and hosting to turn their idea into a real product and get it on the market.

You don’t need to be an entrepreneur to enter. In fact, you don’t need any experience at all! All you need is an idea and the team behind #GetStarted2014 will take care of the rest.

Or perhaps you’ve already started work on your idea but a lack of funding, expertise or likeminded people is holding you back. The #GetStarted2014 team will help you develop your product further and build your customer base.

With #GetStarted2014, the winner will retain full intellectual property, and a 100% stake, in their idea.

How to Get Started

  1. In order to enter, you’ll need to submit your idea on the #GetStarted2014 website.
  2. You’ll then have until July 31, 2014 to get as many people as possible to vote for your idea to win.
  3. The top 10 ideas with the most votes will be submitted to an expert panel of judges.
  4. The judges (including startup masterminds Cindy Gallop, Judith Clegg and Srinivas Rao) will then choose the winner.

If your idea wins, Bristol UK, based app developers Simpleweb will craft your idea into a working product. Whether you need a Minimum Viable Product to test the market, or further development on an existing product, Simpleweb will help you take your idea to the next level.

Not only that but Canadian startup marketing experts Onboardly will create a customized marketing plan to help you tell the world about your product and Rackspace will provide one year’s worth of web hosting.

There are plenty of ideas already on the #GetStarted2014 website so head on over and enter yours now or vote for your favorites to win.
