WVDOC.com is the site of the West Virginia Division of Corrections, which is dedicated to enhancing public safety for the State of West Virginia, and to provide services and responsiveness to victims of crime; this site is to be recognized as an innovative leader in providing quality correctional services, with a mission to enhance public safety and provide a safe, secure and humane correctional system.
You will be able to find many different sections with sub-sections, such as Prisons and Facilities section, with information on the central office, West Virginia Corrections Academy, Anthony Correctional Center, Beckley Correctional Center, Charleston Work Release Center, Denmar Correctional Center, Huntington Work Release Center, Huttonsville Correctional Center, Lakin Correctional Center, and Martinsburg Correctional Center. There are other centers, such as the Mount Olive Correctional Complex, Northern Correctional Facility, Ohio County Correctional Complex, Pruntytown Correctional Center, Saint Marys Correctional Center, and Slayton Work Camp. Within each of these sections, you will be able to find victim services, offender programs, careers in corrections, correctional industries, training and conferences, and many others.
