This site is, as you probably might have guessed, the official page for the Washington Autoshow, an annual event where local and foreign manufacturers of cars, trucks, mini-vans and sport utility vehicles join to exhibit their latest releases, projects and prototypes to an avid crowd of fans, journalists and industry-related people. Since the 2008 edition of the fair has already taken place, the site works mainly as an archive of the events which took place early this year, featuring both image galleries and videos of highlighted events and autos.
Wondering what to do while waiting for the next Autoshow? Take a look at the ‘Industry Events’ tag to discover a calendar of highlighted fairs and exhibits around the country for this year. Advertisers and exhibitors will also find information on the upcoming autoshow, and links to enquire about participation. During the fairs, though, the site works as a press center, where users can read about latest news, take a look at the calendar of events, watch pictures of celebrities, enter contests and even buy their tickets online. I was quite happy to see that the site provides lots of useful information for those travelling to the Autoshow, including driving directions, maps and links to nearby hotels which offer discounted rates for attendants of the event.
