The Planet Patchwork site is one of them. This particular website is divided into a host of categories that cover every aspect of interest to quilters. To begin with, the site has a beginners page that covers the rudiments of quilting in great detail, including some historical background information. Techniques are amply covered in the relevant page, whereas a “Tools/Software” section features reviews of both products and software for quilting. A quilt gallery is included as well, showcasing a wide range of designs. A nice addition to the site is the “Block of the Month” feature, which highlights salient designs, along with instructions and directions for recreating them at home. Another remarkable feature is the “Travel” section, which is devoted to reviews of quilt shops and shows all around the world. Lastly, the site features a bookstore where titles of interest can be purchased.
