OMU’s mission is to successfully allow one million people to submit their picture online through the website and pay one dollar so that they can create one picture of one million people. Once the project complete, OMU will auction off the picture on eBay to the highest bidder at a starting price of one million dollars.
Afterwards, OMU will donate 90% of the money made from the auction to the top user-voted Non Profit Organizations chosen by OMU’s members. OMU is convinced this project will appeal to individuals worldwide who believe their contribution is an investment to be part of an innovative fundraising method and an online historic landmark that they hope will become the new standard for global humanitarian aid. For this, OMU will launch this project and convince the skeptics that, if given a proper chance, people will show support. The “Reaction Time” shown on the homepage of the site is a key indicator of OMU’s success.
