This site is the essential companion to vintage music lovers: listing pop charts from the 50’s to the early 2000’s, in this site you’ll find detailed artist bios for some of the bands and singers who marked an epoch and then went on to be forgotten. Unfortunately, you can’t listen to any of the songs, but you will find links to buy the records or CDs from eBay and Amazon, plus links to related websites there are any available.
The site also presents suggestions for yearly mixtapes which can make a great present for that old flame or for your next high school reunion. Since the whole idea of the site is to join other people to remember music otherwise long forgotten (there’s not much fun in being all alone and remembering Milli Vanilli, of all people), the most active bit of the site is the forum area, and the members are very active in keeping the lists updated and accurate, always making sure that the one hit wonders really are so, meaning that they must have reached a spot in the top 40 US charts; if you are a devout anti deletionist and want to take a break from Wikipedia, you can always take a look at this site’s list of deleted artists and see what you can do to save them from oblivion.
