The Lenawee Intermediate School District, located in southeast Michigan, serves over 20,000 students in Lenawee County. The LISD provides quality education and services to students in the Lenawee County schools providing students with direct educational support.
The LISD provides instructional content, course design, staff, and direct supervision over the 60 different classroom programs. Students attend these programs through formal agreements with the 12 public school districts as well as numerous parochial schools. Progress is reported to students, their parents, and their local school. LISD provides the local districts with an excellent consulting staff as well as other services that include the Center for Educational Materials and Technology, Special Education, Professional Development, Curriculum in Schools, Lenawee’s CHILD, and the Communities in School programs that help improve the quality of education within the county.
