How To Reach A Six-Figure Income In 2 Years

It sounds like a dream: work part-time, earn six figures, and actually travel instead of talking about the all places you’d like to go someday. Yes, this startup path can be walked. You may have to launch 3 companies to get there, but you should stop listening to the people who told you it would be easy if you haven’t already.

One of the best ways to ensure that you achieve your business goals is to have as many people hear about you as possible. Syndicating content increases the number of eyeballs exposed to your brand and the number of people listening to what you have to offer. Syndr is a platform that automates syndication and helps boost your presence across social media channels.

CEO and founder of Syndr, Caulon Chasar, took the time to talk to us about the importance of sharing your project with others, social media geniuses to follow on Twitter, and the benefits of syndicating content. He might be the last entrepreneur alive who begins his days with something other than checking his email – and he’s alive to tell the tale.

What’s your company about? What do you do? Who are your customers?

[We’re a] social media syndication platform that allows users’ content to be syndicated to Onlywire and Sendible user profiles. Publish your content on 50+ social media channels – including main news feeds, groups, status updates and more (on auto-pilot!).

What’s the greatest thing about your company/website? Why is it better than the competition?

No other syndication platform can distribute your content as safely and to as many social media channels. For example, your content can be distributed to Facebook main news feed, Facebook groups, and events.

Three people (other than you) we should follow on Twitter and why?

First I would have to say Gavin Hammer @Sendible. He really is a good CEO, creating innovative services. His company really stands out in developing unique social media management applications. Then I would say Chris Bolman @ChrisBolman. I find him to be a genius, a great thinker and developer. Last but not least, Tony Robbins @tonyrobbins. Everyone needs a motivational speaker to keep them going as much as possible.

What time do you usually start work each day? How many hours a day do you usually work?

I usually start work around 6AM and work maybe 4 hours throughout day.

When’s the last time you went on vacation and where did you go?

I just got back from the Philippines a few weeks ago. I love the culture and island hopping.

What’s the very first thing you do at work every day?

I drink a big glass of orange juice to get my nerves going and do a few stretches.

How many people did you start the company with and how many people work for you now?

I started it with just 3 people: there is me (the brainstormer and planner), the programmer and a business partner.

A lot of people have big ideas. What gave you the confidence to actually go after yours?

I knew I could build a thorough syndication platform that could stand alone and provide a method to distribute people’s content to various social networks as clean as possible.

Remember the early days of starting up? Describe the struggles you went through.

I knew it would take a while to build the platform. When you’re in those early stages of designing the actual code and can’t see it actually working yet, you can lose motivation.

Who or what inspires YOU? Role models? Quotes? Running? Video games? Snack food?

I would say people’s acts inspire me – nothing like someone doing the unexpected that can change someone’s life from that moment forward. I would have to say my favorite quote is: “As ye have faith so be it unto you,” Edgar Cayce. I love action-packed video games and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Got any great bootstrapping tips for the lean startups out there?

I would say news, news and news! Get the word out. Let everyone know what you offer. You have to build up your brand and audience before you can sell it.

What other advice do you have for other entrepreneurs struggling to get started?

There is always a way if you’re willing, sometimes it’s about knowing someone who can help or just staying determined and building little by little until the time is right. Things will all fall in place when you know your path.

Do you consider yourself a successful entrepreneur? If not, what’ll make you feel successful?

I would say so – I’ve launched 3 businesses in the past 2 years in my part time and have created a 6-figure income.

Number 1 country you’ve always wanted to visit but haven’t yet? (And why that country?)

I am going to New Zealand before I die. Ever since I saw The Lord of The Rings, I wanted to experience that beauty for myself.
