By Eric Strait, Tech Hustlers

If anyone could have retired and said that they had made it, it is Xydo CEO Eric Roach! I must say that Eric isn’t like anyone I’ve ever met. His humility and kindness will leave you forgetting exactly the kind of successful person you are actually in the presence of.

Eric is the current CEO of Xydo, a content marketing platform that is generating a lot of buzz from some pretty massive companies like Dell, Utah Jazz, and many others.

Before XydoEric Roach started his entrepreneur career as the founder of Lombard Brokerage in 1994. Lombard Brokerage is responsible for helping pave the way for online stock trading and invented many of the technologies used in banking, brokerage and insurance industries today.

In 1997, he sold Lombard Brokerage to Morgan Stanley and was asked by CEO Phil Purcell to serve on their Management Committee at their world headquarters in New York, where he worked in marketing, e-commerce and internal acquisitions.

A few years later he was recruited by world-renown investment guru, John Doerr of Kleiner Perkins (KPCB), and Ram Shriram of Sherpalo Ventures to be the CEO of Elance, a services marketplace on the web.  By the end of 2001, Eric would move on to found Roach Capital Partners, a very successful investment firm with a very impressive portfolio.
