MapDing is a mobile service that makes it possible for anybody to buy and sell items in his local community. It includes a fully-featured map browser along with in-app messaging and notification alerts whenever anybody shows interest in what you are offering.
The map is actually the most distinctive feature of the whole application, and it substitutes the table view that you can see on sites such as CraigList. That’s only logical – we are talking about information that is being displayed on a device in which space is limited to begin with.
Posting anything on MapDing is as simple as sending out a message detailing what you want to sell or buy. Other users of the service who are nearby will receive it, and they will be able to contact you in the spot. And both Facebook and Twitter are supported, so you are ensured that your listing will be spread as far as possible.
For the time being, MapDing is available for Android phones only. But an iPhone app is slated to be released soon.
