Startup Founders:

Anthony Bernas – Founder / CEO – ER nurse, former chemist, passionate home brewer of over 10 years, and jack of all trades. Need a car restored? An old house remodeled? A Cooler Keg built to perfection? Anthony’s your fella.

Racine Gruberman – Cofounder – Masters degree in UX design with over 10 years experience working with food and brewing clients. She’s obsessed with making things easy to use as you’ll see when try out the Cooler Keg.

Startup one-liner:

Cooler Keg: Get ready for draft anything, anywhere.

Problem the startup solves:

When we go to bars or restaurants we are presented with three options: cans, bottles, or draft. It’s time draft was an option everywhere.

Progress and current status:

Fully functional and tested prototype. Indiegogo campaign is live. Full 3D renders of the entire product are ready for production / manufacturing.

What is a crazy story about the startup?:

This product was born out of necessity. (I’ll use that word loosely). We go to the lake every summer with our friends to hang out for the weekend, float, and have fun. This includes drinking. So each year, our floating game gets better. Better floats, carabiners and paracord to tie all the floats together, an anchor so we all don’t float away, etc. A few years ago, someone said we needed a swim up bar where they could get a draft beer. (in the middle of the lake). The next year, I brought the first prototype and we did it.

What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:

Chuck’s House of Magic and The Brandywine Inn. Racine and Anthony both grew up in small business families. Racine’s father was a magician, her mother was a clown. Anthony’s father was a chef, his mother ran the front of the restaurant. Racine and Anthony looked up to their parents growing up and that entrepreneurial spirit stayed with them.

The company in four years will be…

Our goal is to expand our product offering, build a small business in our community, hire and work with people in our community. Give back and help foster the health of our local economy.
