Stress, anxiety and depression are the biggest health conditions globally. Now more than ever we need simple, effective, widely available and affordable solutions to the mental health pandemic. Enter the artists and musicians!
Central to Syntropy’s approach is their innovative content commissioning model which empowers international artists and musicians to collaborate and co-create video artworks across borders.
Syntropy is so effective because it blends art with science. The video artworks commissioned and showcased within the app employ the scientifically proven benefits of:
- Abstract/Psychedelic art therapy
- Therapeutic benefits of slow and rhythmic music
- Coherence breathwork
- Focused Attention Meditation (FAM)
- Positive emotion regulation
Syntropy’s mission is to bring the medicinal and therapeutic benefits of art and music to the forefront of wellbeing – and into the palm of everyone’s hand!
Progress and current status:
The Syntropy App is available on Android and Apple. We have also recently launched a Kickstarter campaign where we’re looking to raise £23,000, this is so we can commission a year’s worth of artists and musicians.
What is a crazy story about the startup?:
Syntropy started at the start of the Covid Lockdown! Allie Joy, a digital artist and Gavin Andrews, a healthcare business owner, who came together and blended their experiences and expertise. Allie knew the struggles of making a living as an artist, Gavin knew how to help with the struggles of stress. We decided to create a product (an app) that was both affordable and provided support for the artist community whilst serving society’s wellbeing. We have built Syntropy from the ground up, with no external funding or investment. We’re now trying to share Syntropy with the world and hoping the community we’ve built thus far will help us continue creating more art and music in the wellbeing sector through supporting our Kickstarter campaign.
What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:
PlantWave, these awesome folk started on Kickstarter and absolutely smashed it! Their ethos is very much aligned with our own, which is bringing nature closer to our modern world through technology and creativity.

Still an app! but with developments into the world of VR. We will have a strong ever-growing community of artists and musicians who we regularly commission to create content.
