Startup one-liner:

AI platform for developers

Problem the startup solves:

AI is coming into our life very actively. Developers play one of the important roles in integrating AI into the things that surround us on a daily basis. For example, our phones! Many people want to read the summary of a long book, extract text from photos, watch live broadcasts with correctly generated subtitles. The main problem is that developers cannot make such applications. There are many reasons, for example as lack of financial resources, knowledge or time. We decided to take these problems upon ourselves and give the opportunity to create AI products to all developers. Our API can be used with just a few lines of code, works with any programming language and does not require training data.

Progress and current status:

I mentioned earlier that we took on a responsible task – to build large language models from scratch. We are very proud of this, although it is quite resource-intensive. Our API for Text summarisation Magic-Summary is now available in Beta version. Due to high demand a waitlist was launched. We enable Magic-Summary for developers gradually, so they can start building AI powered applications. Our next product a speech recognition is planned to be released in Q1 2023.

What is a crazy story about the startup?:

We took on many challenges so that our customers don’t have to. A major thing is to not just run an AI model, but to run it reliably, every day. For this we wrote over 60 pieces of internal software. While writing and maintaining all of them is no easy task with such a small team, it still automates a lot of the challenges to a point where it enables our business in the first place.

What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:

Stripe is an interesting company to look up to: they democratised payments in apps the same way we want to democratise AI in apps. Stripe has great documentation and really owns their space.

The company in four years will be…

… a big remote international company. Our speech recognition, text-to speech, image recognition, text classification models have already been developed and are changing the world for the better. There will be 100 happy employees who will be made up of agile teams. All our servers are located only in climate neutral data centers, because we continue taking care about the environment.
