Startup Founders:

Startup one-liner:

Approval workflow management for SMB.

Problem the startup solves:

ApproveThis is a user-friendly tool designed to simplify the approval process for everyday tasks. With customizable forms, secure and branded mailboxes, and easy-to-navigate workflows, it’s perfect for busy individuals needing quick decisions. Its mobile-friendly interface allows you to manage approvals on-the-go, making it a go-to solution for everyone seeking an efficient way to handle their approval needs.

Progress and Current Status:

First version of product completed. Onboarding initial customers.

What is an Inspiring Story about the Startup?:

I lead the operations team at Mailgun between 75 employees and 400 and my inbox was always full of folks who needed approval for new software, new vendors, or new expenses. I created ApproveThis to tame the madness of busy operations, finance, and HR professionals like myself – to add a bit of oversight without slowing anybody down.

What is a Company the Startup Looks Up to, and Why?:

Atlassian is a business that is laser-focused on productivity. They’ve done an amazing job assembling tools that make life easier for engineers, product managers, and others and have made smart acquisitions like trello without ruining what makes them special.

Atlassian tools are generally easy to use, but have exceptional depth for people with expertise.

The Company in Four Years Will Be…

The goal for this business is 100 employees and $35M in revenue. A 100 person company is large enough to stay focused, while keeping management limited and can still operate like a “startup”.

It’s also large enough to be acquired, keep a small business feeling, maintain a strong growth trajectory.
