How to submit? – Online Advocacy Resources

Share on:

CitizenSpeak is an online initiative that aims to provide grassroot organizations and local activists with the tools necessary for e-advocacy. The system is based on the open source CivicSpace/CitizenSpeak module, and creating a campaign involves signing up, choosing a campaign title and providing the e-mail addresses of the targeted recipients.

When you start a campaign, a unique web page for it is instantly created. You can then download campaign reports in order to build your lists and learn more about those who support you.

A nice touch is that both English and Spanish are supported, and this will no doubt broaden the appeal of this web-based service.

Lastly, a blog is included and items of interest such as the current elections are brought into consideration along with information on new campaigns that have been started on the World Wide Web. Information as regards the impact CitizenSpeak has on the Internet and developments which are on the way can also be found on the blog. In Their Own Words

“CitizenSpeak is a free email advocacy service for grassroots organizations. Inspired by MoveOn email campaigns, CitizenSpeak provides the same e-advocacy capability at the community level in English and Spanish.”
