Sqoot.com – A Tool For Social Planning

Sqoot.comThe team behind Sqoot defines it as an “aspirational FourSquare”. It makes sense, really – Sqoot lets you create a social wish list and find friends who want to do something that you have always wanted to do.

It can be just anything: traveling through the South of France, visiting Argentina, going surfing in Malibu….

In practice, this is accomplished by completing and posting the phrase “I want to…” on the site. Upon doing so, other people will be able to see what you are aiming for and jump right in if it is an activity that they are also keen on undertaking.

Posts are actually broadcast to Twitter and Facebook using the “Sqoot” hashtag. It is even possible to like plans on Facebook. And note that while I used travel-related examples above, there is no reason why you couldn’t come up with phrases like “I want to improve my German” or “I want to become a better dancer”. That’s all entirely possible, and once the site starts gaining traction the chances of you finding responsive people will just increase more and more.
