TaxiShare is a new tool that will let travelers save some money by cutting a common expense short. That is, using this service someone who has arrived at an airport can share a taxi with another person when riding to the city, consequently saving half the fare.
In order to use this system you must specify the city you are arriving in as well as the time of arrival before you have caught your outbound flight. Once you have arrived you can see if anyone has returned you message. If not, you can search for other posters that are arriving in the same city at the same time, and contact any of them.
In actuality, you could share the taxi to just anywhere. I used the example of riding to the city because it is the one that springs to mind immediately. But you can head off anywhere. It is just a matter of coordinating it all beforehand.
