Fav4.org – A Homepage That Leaves No Room For Confusion

Fav4.orgWhen I first looked at this site I couldn’t help but smirk and think “This would make Mr. Magoo proud”.

The site will let you have a personalized start page with a difference: you will only be allowed to choose four pages to be displayed on it. That limit might seem harsh, but if you pay the site a visit now it will all click – these four pages are represented by enormous icons. Hence the association I made with Mr. Magoo.

Still, such a limitation is harsh for most everybody. I don’t think I know a person who could do with such a limited number of links on his homepage, although it would make a lot of people realize that there are sites sitting on their collection of bookmarks that are absolutely irrelevant.

It is a bit hard to be overly positive when faced with something like this for the simple fact it is not the kind of site that would make a big difference in the way the average internaut consumes information. Reviewing it was a nice distraction, and I think visiting it would be good fun for you too. But there is little else to it.

Why Fav4.org It Might Be A Killer

It is simple enough to be used by everybody, but that simplicity also turns into its Achilles’s heel.
