An interesting service (though its legality can and will be disputed), Zediva lets you stream the movies you are watching on your computer, right as you are watching them. This means that if you are at home watching a movie, then all of your friends can also watch it as if they were sitting there, right besides you.
This is accomplished by renting a special DVD player from the company, along with the actual flick to be watched. In that sense, Zediva resembles a movie rental store that has been adapted to meet the demands of people in the Social age.
Movies are rented for less than it costs getting a movie on iTunes, and a movie that you have rented once can be re-rented again at no cost for fourteen days.
It is really nice to see some fresh ideas around. While I have a bad feeling about how long will it be before someone within the industry reacts negatively and takes legal action, I commend the creativity displayed by those who have created Zediva
