The Israeli based startup PopTok has paired up movie clips and instant messaging. It’s essentially cinema quotations taking over the role of the emoticon. Instead of expressing themselves through smileys users can insert, say King Kong or Steve Carell, into their IM chats, depending on their mood of course.
