Spotjots is a new microblogging service, a la Twitter, which throws in geolocation and mapping so you can share your life in real time wherever you are. What you get is something of a combination of Google Maps, Vox and Twitter. Users can send in updates which are geolocated and mapped out for friends to see. Adobe's AIR runtime, which lets developers create rich and varied internet apps, is rapidly becoming popular across the web. Sweetter is an opensource Twitter-like service (or Twitter clone, might better describe the service). It’s microblogging combined with Pligg style voting. PicoBuzz is a basic application that allows you to see what the key “buzz” words are that are being tweeted on Twitter. The site consists of a chart listing in order the top 20 buzzwords. It lets you know what the word’s last position was and shows you the icons of the users who typed those words which you can scroll over to see what their original tweet was. Microblogging just got so much easier! Thanks to the recent release of Twimbler, a new service that allows users to create and update tumblelogs using twitter, we can expect microblogging to continue to become more and more popular.
