Facebook page tab apps have become a key component of brands’ social media marketing strategies. While many are accessible to all users, others require a “social opt-in,” which requires certain Facebook profile information in exchange for access to the app.
To better understand how marketers are leveraging social opt-in capabilities, Neolane analyzed the Facebook page tab apps of 450 brand pages, including the top 150 each in the US, UK, and France. The infographic below summarizes the key findings, including the most common types of Facebook apps deployed, the most requested pieces of profile information, and which apps are driving the highest engagement.
