Elevator Pitch:

Speedlancer delivers design, writing, and data entry tasks from curated freelancers in just four hours.

Why It’s A Killer Startup:

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that freelancing is all the rage these days. As our technology makes it easier and easier to make money away from traditional offices, more and more people are turning to freelance work to either supplement their incomes or be their entire incomes.

Sites catering to this new class of freelance worker are popping up like mushrooms after a rainy day, so much so that I can barely keep up. However, once in awhile a new freelance site hits my desk that has something new to offer, and I feel compelled it to share it with you, loyal readers.

Speedlancer is one of those sites. The reason it earned the coveted daily Killer Startup spot is because it not only helps out freelancers but is also a great tool for founders. The site takes the usual “connecting freelancers with people who want to hire freelancers” model and adds an element of speed to make things interesting.

On Speedlancer, a person looking to hire simply adds the job they need filled – be it in design, dev, or writing – and they’ll have it completed within four hours of being accepted. That’s because once they hit that “Get It Done Now!” button, Speedlancer sends it out to their network of curated freelancers. The freelancers review the submission, decide whether or not they’re up for the task, and then accept.

Upon delivery of the assignment, the person who created it has one free revision, if needed, and once everything is all wrapped up, the money is automatically deducted from their PayPal. If they don’t like it, however, the whole process doesn’t cost a cent.
