Game players weaned on Guitar Hero are in for a treat with the PS and XBOX 360 music video game “Rock Band”. It allows players to perform in virtual rock bands by means of playing peripherals that have been modeled after musical instruments – a guitar, a bass, a microphone, and even a drum kit.

The game emulates the playing of music in a manner not far removed from Guitar Hero, but with its own twists as gameplay for vocals and drums is catered for. Single players can play the “Solo Tour Mode”, whereas there is a multiplayer option, aptly named “Band World Tour”. The game itself and all the peripherals can be purchased online, as well as accessories like guitar straps and the like. Shirts and shoes can also be bought, in order to look the part. The “Live The Life” page includes information and merchandise associated with the rock ‘n’ roller lifestyle, such as gear, transportation, and renowned music venues.
