Bookadventure.org – Free Reading Motivation Program

Bookadventure.orgThe importance of reading must never be overlooked when it comes to the upbringing of younger children. In a world where computers and video gaming systems have an ever- increasing presence, it is sometimes hard to divert the children from their monitors and sets.

Enter Book Adventure, a free reading motivation program for children in grades K-8. Broadly speaking, the program enables the children to put together a book list from a collection of over 7,000 recommended titles. After reading a specific book, the child can take multiple choice quizzes on that title, and earn points and prizes as a result. The site is subdivided into sections that cater for all the involved parties in the learning process, to wit: “Kids Zone”, “Parents Place”, and “Teacher Lounge”. Teachers can request guides for integrating the program into their classrooms. On the other hand, those who desire to subscribe to the available mailing list (which includes promotion and offers) can do so online. Bookadventure.org
