There’s always a guy on campus who knows of every party that’s going to be held over the weekend. There’s always a good couple of folks like these, actually. But the way things always are, they never seem to be around when you need them the most. Well, for times in which you can’t seem to find them, there’s this new mobile application. It goes by the name of Sponto, and it basically lets you stay on top of all the parties that are taking place. This app (which you can download for free at the Android Marketplace) lets you detect parties, right as they’re taking place, and then learn more about them. Sponto makes it really simple to know whether a party is tons of fun or a plain bore, since people who’re there can share how they’re feeling for everybody else to know.
And the uses of Sponto aren’t just limited to college parties. It’s a technology that can be used for most kinds of live events. People within just any community will be able to learn about these things that appeal to them (such as readings of poetry, or art exhibitions) using Sponto’s real time capabilities. And they’ll get to know how great (or not) any of these is turning out to be, and decide whether to go there or not based on all the right reasons.
