Shoplift.com - Good Deals on Games

    shoplift

Shoplift is an Amazon-based search engine that lets you hunt for good prices for a variety of items. The site specializes in games, toys, and billiards, but also features several other categories (Electronics, Watches, Home&Garden, etc). You can search for items by keyword and/or category. Items are divided into categories based on what they are, but also on the degree to which their prices have been marked down. All purchases are done across the Amazon server, which means that all of the items are backed by Amazon’s “A-Z Guarantee”; meaning if there’s any defect with the product or if it arrives and it does not appear as advertised, you’re entitled to your money back. You’ll need an account to use Shoplift, but it must be one with Amazon, not with Shoplift itself, since all checkouts are done through Amazon.

    In their own words

“Shoplift is your online destination for discount prices on a variety of high-quality sporting goods, home and garden supplies, toys & hobbies, shoes, jewelry, watches, and electronics. Shopping is fast and easy at Shoplift where you'll find the top of the line brands you're looking for at greatly reduced prices. Experience further savings and convenience with $9.99 SHIPPING on any order”

Why it might be a killer

Since Shoplift is backed and powered by Amazon, it’s a breeze to use for existing Amazon users. There is an extensive variety of gaming items, and Shoplift has probably anything and everything you’d need to furnish a game room. Being that prices for such items are often sky-high, Shoplift could be a good alternative to sites that offer these items only at full price.

    Some questions

Shoplift’s name doesn’t really specify that it’s still pretty much a game-related sale search engine; could they change it to be more descriptive? It’s also unclear why, although they are primarily a game and toy related site, they have chosen to add other random categories.
