Simply put, Sharify is a new service that will empower you to monetize any Adobe AIR application by turning it into shareware. In case the term does not ring a bell, “shareware” refers to those applications that can be procured and initially tried for free, and a (mostly small) fee must be paid if you intend to continue using them.
Sharify takes this approach to the world of Adobe AIR applications, and it lets developers monetize them by linking the provided .swc file into the code of the app itself. Upon doing so, a payment method must be chosen. Once you have complied with that, you simply proceed to promote it as best you as can – Twitter, Facebook, blogs… and payments will be forthcoming the way you have specified before. And the creation of individual licenses is an easy task. Basically, whenever a payment materializes you simply use the Sharify administration panel and furnish the user’s email address to generate a special license key for that individual user. And if you don’t want to do this manually every single time, you can have the process automated and the license generated without input on your part.
As regards the payment model, you will be charged a 3 % fee for each license that is issued. This means that if you are selling no licenses there will be no fees to be paid. All in all, an easy and direct system that gives any developer a ready chance to start monetizing his or her creations, and in a uniform and cost-effective way at that.
