    Saleshout.com - Shopping Social Network

    saleshout

Saleshout is an online community where anyone can post links to deals that they have found on the web and anyone else can take advantage and buy the product. Individuals who want to share a deal with others, or companies that are having a great sale, can post the deal for free. Products are categorized into well organized categories so you don’t have to scroll through a list of uncategorized products to find what you are looking for. Alternatively, just plug in what you are looking for into the search bar and get the best deals on the products you desire instantly. If you are a bit of a shop-aholic, and aren’t looking for anything in particular, you can also scroll through the deals of the day.

    In their own words

“SaleShout is a social shopping network community which allows its users to posts links to sales, deals and coupons. To post your deals: Simply... Register...login and post your deals and sales you have found today.”

Why it might be a killer

They allow companies to post deals for free and therefore this could become a popular portal for small businesses to gain some free advertising. If non-affiliated individuals post deals there could also be a great opportunity for Salesshout to profit from the referral fee.

    Some questions

The site does not seem to have any measures in place to pre-qualify the deals that are posted. They should seriously consider implementing a mechanism that would allow them to ensure that the “deals” being posted are in fact deals and not just normally priced offers from other businesses. In order to encourage more non-affiliated user input, perhaps they could offer a commission to the poster on any sold merchandise.
