Private Designer Collections showcases some of the most innovative and creative fashion accessories, all created by top private designers from all corners of the world. Featured designers changes at any given time, but all that are chosen to have their creations displayed serve a double duty.

First, their pieces are displayed on the site. Second, a portion of the proceeds each designer earns on their sales is donated to a charity of that designer’s choice. Independent fashion and philanthropy meld together on this site, as users browse through descriptions, pictures, and price lists of the various designers’ items. Featured accessories range from handbags to necklaces to rings.

“The Private Designer Collections started in April 2008 as a tool for new fashion designers to gain exposure in ways greater than they could alone. We select between 25 and 35 fashion accessory designers from around the world to be featured on our website, www.privatedesigners.com, at any given time. Selected designers are given the opportunity to sell their products via our site. They set the price and as part of our commitment to the community, all designers are required to support a charity through a percentage of their sales.”

This site is innovative and based on a just cause. Showcasing more and more designers and possibly more pieces by each designer would significantly add to the site.

How can different pictures add to the site? A) Additional product photos are added when you click to enlarge the photos. Designers submit their own photos, so some items may not have additional views.

How may other designers learn about this outlet? A) There is significant marketing going on at fashion schools in NY and existing designers are encouraged to refer other designers for cash incentives.
