Monetime.com - Buy Time, Sell Time

    monetime

Monetime touts itself as a brand new way to sell services. It’s like classifieds on rails. Users can post their availability/service/event on a free profile page. Buyers then search for a needed service, such as a physics tutor, or a pastry chef; once they’ve found the right person, they can pay directly via PayPal. Of course once you’ve purchased a service you’re free to, in fact, encouraged to rate it. If your hired linguist couldn’t explain morphology or phonemes, then do make note of it. Finding services is easy as each is conveniently categorized; for example, under Educational you’ll find the subheadings, science, math, literature and so on. Categories range from photography to childcare. You can also narrow your search by specifying the exact time and location. Monetime is globalin scope as well, so you can search the world for whatever you need.

    In their own words

“Monetime is a free online directory for services with integrated e-commerce features available on demand for very low fees. Our aim is to make life easy for individuals that sell services of any sort by providing a) an online presence for sellers with detailed information about their services in a directory that is spiderable by search engines, b) advanced e-commerce features that allow buyers to book their services direct from the seller's profile page and pay online, and c) integrated mutual feedback/review mechanisms that allow users to build trust with other buyers and sellers in the community.”

Why it might be a killer

Monetime is so much more specific, and generally helpful than mere classifieds. It’s easier to find exactly what you need. You can refine searches specifically by subject. Payment is incorporated. And the ratings and profiles provided extra yet vital info.

    Some questions

Will Monetime expand users’ profiles? What about forums for discussion? Or comments?
