    Marathonfoto.com - Marathon photographs

    marathonfoto

What's even better than preparing for a race and actually running it? Some may say nothing, but for those of us who want our co-workers to know we can not only think outside of the box but of the booth as well, you can commission the photographers at marathonfoto.com to take your picture during the race. Interestingly, the site will post the pictures of the race less than a week after it's run, and you can look yourself up by the number you wore to the race, and even get the stills framed and posted to you. At the site you will be able to take a look at the gallery, which features photos from more than a hundred 2006 and 2007 UK, US and Canada marathons.

    In their own words

"While many things have changed about our industry, one thing has remained constant. MarathonFoto continues to be the premier name in event photography. In business for the past three decades, we have grown and changed to meet the needs of the industry. We have improved our approach to documenting the event by analyzing participant purchase data, by continuously training our people and by investing in photographic and computer technology.

Our Service: MarathonFoto provides great photos of individual achievements, while making life simple and dependable for event organizers and providing marketing support for their key sponsors."

Why it might be a killer

The fast times that seem to be the norm for this company are in synchrony with those of the industry in which they work, and that makes them a good provider, plus the site's design in neat and proficient, which makes it a good place to make your race souvenir shopping.

    Some questions

Unfortunately, there are only some 10-15 photos of each race which you can browse if you don't have a bib number and last name for the contestant, which can prove a bit of a hassle. Of course this is a way of making sure people do not take a look at pictures and then walk away without purchasing, but in the end it makes a hermetic, zealous effect that is overall not too nice or appealing.
