In their own words
“LegalZoom was founded by attorneys who have worked at some of the most prestigious law firms in the country. We have used our expertise to simplify the law and make it accessible for everyone. When we started practicing law, our friends and family members immediately asked for help with common legal matters like drafting a will, incorporating a business or filing a small claims action. We found that while many people have legal needs, most of them don’t want to spend the time, or the money over $240 per hour, to see an attorney. That’s why we created LegalZoom -- to help you quickly and affordably create estate planning documents, start a business, register a trademark and more -- from the convenience of your home or office.”
Why it might be a killer
This site provides a very useful service for anyone undergoing a legal difficulty, ranging from divorces, to a name change. The site is very well organized which will help the user to quickly identify its problem and start taking care of it. Each day, legal procedures become a more common problem, so this is a growing market with a large potential audience.
Some questions
Why will users choose Legalzoom over its competitors or sites which offer legal advices for free? How can they help potential users whose problems are not in Legalzoom’s categories? Will people trust a serious matter as legal procedures to an Internet site, or will they prefer to go face-to-face with a lawyer?
