Kdollar is a site that relies solely on unaffiliated user submissions to find and provide the best deals available on the web. Users submit the best deals that they find and other users vote on the deals, ranking them on a scale of 1 to 5. The top deals appear on the first page of the site making it easy to find the current best prices on the web. Users who submit deals gain “K-dollars” depending on how many votes their submissions receive. Those with the most K-dollars are displayed on the first page as well all though K-dollars cannot be used for purchasing and are really just a representation of how popular any given user’s submissions are.

This site relies solely on unaffiliated user submissions and this will obviously be appreciated by other users who want to receive an honest account of the best deals available.

This space is probably too crowded for kdollar to succeed. They do not reward users for submitting the best deals meaning that there is a complete lack of incentive. Have they considered either sharing revenues or at least giving discounts to the users who amass the most kdollars?
