JunkDepot.com - Platform to Buy and Sell Your Junk

    junkdepot

You know the saying: “one person’s trash is another’s treasure.” JunkDepot specializes in creating a marketplace to recycle used treasures, connecting buyers and sellers on a unique platform. Junk depot needs you, your help and your junk to create a killer environment to bring the garage sale to YourBlock, USA. Set up an account on JunkDepot to either buy or sell an item. From there, you can create a listing of your home goods that will last for 90 days, completely free of charge. Buyers can contact you via email, and JunkDepot won’t charge either for the service. Users can blast out their listings to Google base and Edgeio to cover a wider area to get their junk sold in a snap. JunkYard is also now compatible with the social network Facebook.

    In their own words

A marketplace to find materials for your home or your project either personal or professional. We just launched so we need your help (and junk) to make junkdepot a hit!

Why it might be a killer

With both the assistance of their partnerships with Google base and Edgeio, as well as their intelligent integration with the ever-populous Facebook platform, JunkDepot has the resources for success in this crowded webspace. For just a little over a buck, you can position your listing on their homepage, creating benefits for the customer and of course, generating a steady profit for JunkDepot and their partners.

    Some questions

Are they coming in to late in the game, is this space already too crowded? Will their facebook application be able to compete with other apps which essentially provide the same service? Could they create a widget you could place on your website/blog/social networking provider?
