    IndiePad.com - Music Gets Liberated

    indiepad

New, independent music site Indiepad lets you indie darlings sell your songs directly from the web. Musicians are given their own page which displays their contact info, biography, and web address. They maintain complete control over their music; tracks can be sold individually or as albums. Prices are determined by the artist. There are no limits, no quotas, no executives demanding that you make changes to your lyrics or album. Music fans get to download the music they want, directly supporting the artists. The site has got quite a collection of genres, ranging from jazz and blues, to latin and experimental. The site also hosts spoken word, comedy, and other audio files.

    In their own words

“Chances are you've heard of the large music services like iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody, if you're a musician, you've probably wondered what it takes to get your music on one of those services.
indiepad is a digital music service specifically for independent musicians and independent record labels.
indiepad allows you to sell your music downloads 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's no need to worry about shipping costs, inventory, or theft. Our order and download system uses a proprietary security system with 3 levels of protection for your content.”

Why it might be a killer

Let’s face it making music may be your passion, but it won’t pay the bills. Getting your music out means you’ll often have to shell out your own cash or bow down to the will of music bigwigs. Indiepad gives you an alternative. You control your music, you set the prices. Fans get to hear your songs and everyone’s happy.

    Some questions

This field is already heavily saturated, what makes Indiepad any different? Do artists get sales tracking and management tools?
