Importing can be a tough business, especially with fluctuations in the currency markets and rising prices of fuel. Importers can, however, get a leg up on their competition using ImportGenius. This tool gives importers a full list of their competitors’ suppliers (via ImportScan) and all of their own supplier’s customers within the US 9with SupplySpy). Data is mined from US custom records and is updated daily so users get the freshest information out there. Records run back from 2006 to the present day. ImportGenius supplies pertinent and detailed information about outgoing and incoming shipments; you’ll find data on product type, dimensions and units per container. Users can also easily search for competitors and suppliers by product. Basic access is free. Premium subscriptions are available as well.

| Why it might be a killer | |||
|
|
ImportGenius is an extremely useful and well designed tool for the import/export industry. Information is relayed in real time, providing users with up to date data on all their competitors. With ImportGenius, the competitive advantage that others have from better knowledge of suppliers is virtually nullified. Moreover, users can make sure suppliers honor exclusivity agreements, they can find new suppliers and they can make better informed decisions, simply by getting information on their competitors.

| ImportGenius.com is a reputable company that gets its data directly from the U.S. governement and provides outstanding customer service. Don't believe these under-the-belt attacks below. If you have any doubts, give me a call (I'm the CEO) anytime at 888-843-0272. | ||

| This is not a killer startup its a killer SCAM. Stay away from this one and you'll be glad you did so. They've stolen my money as well as many others as well. They make a living from stealing. I hope they get shut down for all the bad they've done. | ||

| It is a shame because bill of lading data can really help a company if you get it from a reputable source. There are several US based companies that get customs data directly from the US government. Import Genius gets their information from some data pirates in China and act like they are reputable data providers. Buyer beware of these guys! You will get what you pay for if you subscribe to their service! | ||

| I tried this site by paying the ridiculous high fee charged and found that the info you get from this company was as useful as used toilet paper. It doesn't give any specifics and in many cases will give you a blank page when searching for a company. All the major companies out there are not even listed except for some mom and pop or dead companies. A lot of the info is outdated-not real time like they state. Just another scam taking hard working people's money and making the crooks that run this website rich. Don't waste your money with these crooks. | ||

| It's hard to figure out what's so "killer" about this Killer Startup. What Import Genius is doing is nothing new, they're just the new kid on the block. Other companies like The Datamyne have been providing this information for more than a decade with a lot more history of data integrity. The last time I looked at The Dartamyne they covered 42 countries and had over 600 million trailing records available for search. Miami based. | ||

| This was mentioned elsewhere. How is a company with a sister branch based in China, and a CEO (Iris Hoo) in that location, selling United States customs data from a foreign communist country. Understanding that they obtain their US data from their China location, superimpose it in a slick database for these young men, and sell it to Wall Street...scary.Knowing how things work in China, it would be interesting to find out if they are pirating/stealing this data from legitimate company's who receive the AMS from US Customs throughout the week. Which goes to another point: it is not possible to have "real time" data if the source, US Customs, does not provide it in "real time" to those who receive it under the Freedom of Information Act. The two brothers may have office locations and a few employees in NY and AZ, but there are some shady things going on with this China company. | ||
