    Hoojano.com - Australia's Newest Job Referral Site

Coming out of the Great Down Under, Hoojano is an online job community connecting top talent with hot jobs. There are several means of participating within the site: 1) you can become a referrer and earn money for recommending people to the right jobs 2) you can join as a hirer in search of your next proven employer 3) or you can enter the site as a job seeker.

Hirers are charged a commission of about 20% for each chosen talent; this is, however, being waived for this initial beta stage, and each hirer sets his own price. After the job is posted, Hoojano gets out the word to their network of referrers; a shortlist is sent out to the hirer who then chooses whom to interview. Referrers can take advantage of the import contacts feature which makes it easier for them to refer people they know; moreover, each contact’s info can be edited on site—skills, education, desired salary, etc can all be updated.

    Hoojano.com.au In their own words

“hoojano is an online community where talented people (or job seekers) are connected with people looking for talent (hirers). But what sets us apart is that as well as providing a better way of connecting hirers with job seekers, hoojano rewards the value and talent of the people doing the connecting.

We call them referrers, and they’re what make hoojano go.”

Why Hoojano.com.au might be a killer

Hoojano is a well made and well thought out referral site. Features like the import contacts tool add extra value to the site; it makes it that much easier for referrers to suggest people they know that would be right for a job. Hirers, on the other hand, save on recruiter fees and still get quality talent.

    Some questions about Hoojano.com.au

How are rewards/referral fees doled out? Can job seekers post their CV’s on site, or is there some way that referrers can manage CV’s for easier access? Will the navigation elements, especially for contact management be improved? Is there anyway to export updated contact lists?
