GraphicLeftovers is essentially an online scrap yard for pieces of rejected design. Designers, illustrators and others of their ilk, can use the site to sell off their unwanted or merely unused works to willing bidders for the best price. Buying necessitates that you purchase credits, the lowest denominator being 10 credits for $13, with 26 credits going for $33, at the moment. Artwork is divided into six categories including logos, templates, marketing materials, and illustrations. There’s also a freebie category. It’s free to join the site. Items on the site are packaged into easy to buy bundles and most pieces are quite affordable. All artists have waived their right to ownership/copyright so the buyer can do with it what they wish.

Why it might be a killer

All in all this isn’t such a bad idea. All designers and artists, etc have their bad days, their off pieces, their rejections. Luckily there’s also always someone in the market to reassess their work and perhaps deem it viable. GraphicLeftovers gives designers a chance to market what they once thought was unmarketable, while buyers get work for discounted prices.
