    erayo.com - A Global Wholesale Fashion Marketplace

    erayo

Erayo is a wholesale marketplace aiming to link designers from around the world with small and medium size re-sellers in the United States. Designers of unique jewelry, handbags, home décor, fashion accessories, kid’s products and others can advertise their products on erayo where they can be bought in bulk by sellers in the United States. The site is free for both buyers and sellers to join and erayo makes money by charging the designer a commission on any sales. Erayo takes care of the logistics of shipping, importing and billing, something that many designers around the world find overwhelming when trying to sell their products to the US market. Like eBay.com, buyers and sellers can rate each other after the completion of a purchase therefore allowing the community to regulate itself.

    In their own words

The 'look and feel' experience is extremely important with designed and crafted goods such as jewelry, home décor and fashion accessories made by boutique vendors. Erayo was created to support this vision – to put exciting, original, imported products in the hands of small independent retailers and direct sellers throughout the United States.

Why it might be a killer

Small independent designers do not necessarily have the ability or the “know-how” to successfully penetrate the US market. By taking care of the administrative nightmare associated with shipping, importing, billing, and advertising, erayo gives designers around the world relatively easy access to the massive US market. The market for unique fashion goods at a good price is huge and many small and medium-size direct sellers in the US could embrace erayo as it gives them access to designs from around the world.

    Some questions

With a multitude of sites offering wholesale goods, will erayo be able to entice enough buyers and sellers to register? With only 75 collections to date, they will need to increase the number of sellers and perhaps consider adding more unique, ethnic type products. Will they be able to differentiate themselves enough from other sites like eBay.com?
