Dayak.com - Name A Price. Find Really Good Recruiters

    dayak

You would think that cutting out the middleman was the way to go, but Dayak doesn’t think so. Dayak is an odd little startup that deals in finding recruiters for companies who then go out and find potential employees. All this, needless to say, seems to buck the trend of finding employees straight from the employee pool. Yet, recruiters do know how to, well, recruit, and job boards don’t always get the best candidates. On the employer side, Dayak helps employers save time and money. For one, posting jobs is free, and they don’t have to pay premium to find the right recruiter—they negotiate the rates when a successful hire is found. Secondly, employers don’t have to waste time wading through hundreds of unqualified resumes. For recruiters, you don’t have to cold call, or pay. Just get paid and work without any hassle.

    In their own words

“Dayak is an online marketplace for employers to find talent. Dayak matches employers to a network of skilled recruiters who search for, screen, and submit qualified candidates to open job orders. There are no job seekers on the site, only employers and professional recruiters. Dayak helps you focus on recruiting candidates instead of cold calling for job orders.”

Why it might be a killer

Dayak is an interesting model that may actually work. A lot of job boards are fruitless and recruiters specialize in finding applicants whereas employers have better things to do.

    Some questions

Will this model work? Why build a site for middlemen? Why not go straight to the job pool? Will this be more efficient? Or cost more time and money?
