    BlastMyMusic.com - Widgetized Music

    blastmymusic

BlastMyMusic.com is a place where artists who have music featured on sites such as MySpace and hi5 can sell it to their fans and the general public. The graphics are clean and easy to read, and artists have the choice of providing full tracks or previews, statistical tracking, and their own URL-based music store.

    In their own words

"BlastMyMusic is an online service that lets you buy music directly from the websites of your favorite bands. As an Artist, create an account on BlastMyMusic.com and sell your own, original music directly from your websites. As a Customer, you can know that when you buy music from a band using BlastMyMusic.com, you are directly supporting your favorite artists!"

Why it might be a killer

Large sites with heavy music content like MySpace and Piczo will find it beneficial to advertise their wares, along with related record companies and artists. Musicians who use the service will direct their audiences there, increasing web traffic.

    Some questions

Will artists be willing to sell their music at 65% of the profit? Will consumers be willing to buy music they can currently hear for free?
