It’s an open format which basically standardizes formats—video, picture, etc—bypassing the media’s API which means no parsing is necessary. WiiZZZ is an interesting site that allows you to listen to entirely random songs that have been posted and shared by Twitter users on any given day. WiiZZZ aggregates any of the songs shared and then randomly puts ten different ones up on their page where you can listen to them.
