Zunafish.com - A CD, DVD, Book, Etc. Trading Community

Why let your old books, CDs, and DVDs gather dust? Or unload them for 25¢ a piece at a garage sale? Through Zunafish.com, you now have the ability to trade your unwanted media items (video games, audio books, and VHS too) for titles that other Zunafish members are offering.

The site charges a reasonable $1 per trade, and is fairly easy to navigate. You simply list the media items you’d like to clear off your shelf, browse around and indicate what you’d like to get in return, and wait for trade offers to arrive. You can only trade like items, i.e. a DVD for a DVD or an audio book for an audio book. You choose whether or not to accept a trade, and can view other users’ trading history and reviews to help you determine whether or not to complete a trade. If you decide to proceed, Zunafish calculates the postage for you and provides a complete address label that you just print and tape to your package.

    Zunafish.com/ In their own words

“You know the books, CDs, DVDs, and other stuff you’re finished with? Well, somebody wants them.

Zunafish lets you trade your old media items for new titles you’d rather have. And, oh yeah— it’s fun, simple and dirt cheap: just a buck a trade!”

Why Zunafish.com/ might be a killer

Zunafish has already received favorable reviews from publications like The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, and PC World, and it was named one of Time Magazine’s ’50 Coolest Websites’ in 2006. If you sell your old media items in a garage sale or on Amazon or other Internet sites, you probably won’t get much in return, whereas Zunafish.com helps you trade for new (to you) titles that you’d rather have in your collection. At a cost of only $1 per trade, it seems like a win-win situation for both parties involved in a trade. This site would be a great way to constantly keep your media collection fresh.

    Some questions about Zunafish.com/

Why can’t you trade between different types of media, say a DVD for a CD? Will these types of trades be permitted in the future? Will we see Zunafish integration with other sites in the future? It’s easy to imagine a Zunafish Facebook app to help advertise your available items across that social network.
