Don’t think you can shell out $2,000 to see your favorite team play in the Super Bowl this year? Yoonew gives you the potential to obtain those seats for a fraction of the price. Members can purchase “fantasy seats” at any time, and if their team makes it to the desired event, those seats become real tickets. Fantasy seats are priced according to the yoonew market community (much like a stock market), so as the chance that a team will reach the Super Bowl (or any other event) rises, so do the bids placed on those tickets. If a lucky user guesses correctly, they win tickets at the price which they paid. If they don’t predict correctly, the money is not refunded. Resellers are also given the option of short selling.
| In their own words | |||
“yoonew is the world’s first futures exchange for event tickets. We have created a dynamic marketplace that helps online consumers save money and time when buying and selling tickets. Our real-time trading platform gives fans, traders, and resellers a safe and transparent place to trade tickets.”
| Why it might be a killer | |||
Yoonew is an innovative approach to reselling tickets, and sports fanatics that pay thousands of dollars (or those that can’t afford to) will likely flock to the site and rationalize paying just a few hundred.
| Some questions | |||
Given that reselling tickets is outlawed in many states, is the site in danger of encountering legal problems?

| Just looked at the site...it's pretty awesome (smooth design and solid product line), plus I can short the teams I don't like :) | ||

| Pretty nice idea. If Yoonew starts offering Final Four tickets, I'll be psyched! Buying ticket futures for a team making the championship game is the ultimate way to show I'm a fan. | ||

| Seems like a revolutionary idea. This gets the tickets back in the hands of the true fans who really believe in their team, or just lets people have fun and make a profit trading these contracts. | ||

| After reading this along with several other articles from TechCrunch, NY Times, Forbes, etc., I think Yoonew's idea is both great and revolutionary. It is not only of course attractive to sports fans, but it is also attractive to traders and resellers. | ||
