    YellowPagesGoesGreen.org – Stop Wasting Resources

    yellowpagesgoesgreen

Do you know how many resources are wasted every time the phone company gives you a phone book you didn’t ask for? If you don’t, then you should take a look at Yellowpagesgoesgreen.org. On the site, you’ll be able to learn about the many resources that are squandered to make phonebooks we don’t ever bother to look at. The site aims to change that, by telling the phone companies that the best way to make phonebooks is just by making enough for the people who want them, and not wasting extra paper on making books for people who don’t use them. With the many technological advances of the last ten years, I wonder why phonebooks don’t come in CDs or DVDs, but that’s just a thought. This site doesn’t want to stop the production of phonebooks; they just want to put a stop to the overproduction of them. This is a very noble cause that should be analysed by anyone interested in making the planet a better place.

    In their own words

“Yellowpagesgoesgreen.org is an organization working to educate consumers and promote the green movement to eliminate the unsolicited delivery of Yellow and White Pages books”

Why it might be a killer

It’s amazing to learn how many resources are wasted. Everyone has to see this site to become aware of this useless waste.

    Some questions

Will people be willing to give up their trusty phonebooks for the environment?
