Wordle.com is a web-based tool that generates “word clouds,” or groups of words, from the text that users provide. This is a simple, fun tool that users can manipulate as they please, tweaking the font, color, size, and layout to create their own personalized word cloud. Word clouds can be used however the users wish, from being printed out, or being saved in the online gallery on the site. To create a word cloud, users simply enter a bunch of text into the prompt field. With the quick click of the submit button, the Java-powered image is created. Users can also enter another user’s name and search that other person’s clouds.
