    Woozyfly.com - Multi-Faceted Musical Community

    woozyfly

Woozyfly is a site that puts you in charge of your music. With this in mind, Woozyfly is basically a music-oriented social network that lets you tell others about the music you like, interact with other users, and create your personal profile. Have a band? Use your page to promote it. Start by creating your profile and spicing it up with some photo and video uploads. Browse around on the site and watch some videos to get an idea of who else shares your musical interests. You might also want to check out individual artist and group pages (you can search across Woozyfly's 9-genre spread), the pages of other fans, and EJ pages (members who have a live show on Woozyfly). Then you can gets started chatting with other users either directly ("Chat With Me") or in a group setting (regular chat). You can even "Video Chat' with other users using your webcam if you wish. All these site features are free, but if you want to really take grab ahold of the Woozyfly community, you might want to upgrade your account and become an EJ. This option lets you create and broadcast your very own show, and provides you with more photo and video storage space on the site.

    In their own words

    "Create your own Buzz!

    Broadcast your own web show

    Create a profile

    Discover great music

    Promote your band!

    Music Videos

    Video Chat, Email, Classifieds"

Why it might be a killer

Woozyfly seems to have all the musical bases covered, so to speak. There's something for every music fan here, and Woozyfly makes it easy to participate in the community and interact with others by providing a variety of chat, upload, and broadcasting options.

    Some questions

Woozyfly's interface is too overwhelming; there's too much going on here; too many colors, to many tabs, etc; could they tone it down a little? They also should include a more clear "About Us" sections, especially considering how busy and difficult to navigate the site is. It's also unclear how exactly one becomes an EJ and broadcasts their own show; where are these broadcasts made available on the site?
